Hosting Providers Comparison Post # 4

Hi Class,

Well I decided to do my assignment on Hosting Providers as with regards to Domain Names I feel I'm pretty well versed. Between 3 different Domain providers I have over 75 domain names. That's not to brag! Actually it's a little embarrassing. I get these great ideas and register the domain name and then I never do anything with them.

But... With regards to Hosting Providers I currently use 3 different services in addition to hosting several domains on my own server in my garage. Steve is right though, if the server is down, your site is down and you are not making any money.

That's why I don't host any of my bread and butter sites on my own server.

My favorite Hosting service is www.IXHosting.com I have used them for over 2 years for my www.equip4sale.com site and have found them to be very user friendly and very reliable.

My next favorite would be www.HostGater.com. I use them for my www.golfvideos4u.com and in addition to being the most cost effective the dashboard is very user friendly and support is very good. Last on the list of the services that I use is www.Yahoo.com. I only used Yahoo because I purchased my original Domain Names there and didn't know any better.

In conclusion you should shop around and see which one you feel the most comfortable with and can use with the level of your personal abilities.

Domain Names

Here are three domain names that I would like to work on:

http://www.golfweasel.com/

http://www.moneycanmakeyourich.com/

http://www.divineaging.com/

One is a merchandising idea
the next is an Internet marketing promo idea.
Lastly is a health care idea.

Net Neutrality

WOW,
Having done some research on the subject of Network Neutrality it reminds me of the whole "Big Brother" post 1984 world that we all feared so very long ago. I think there was a time if you were fed up with the cable companies or just wanted to get more channels on your TV you could purchase a Satellite Dish and watch all the channels you wanted. Then there was subscription TV where you had to choose which channels you wanted and could afford. Now there are "packages" that make you pay a premium for less than stellar programing.
We can not allow this to happen to the Internet. The main attraction of the Internet is the autonomy and the ability to find virtually anything at anytime. If the big communication companies have their way, you will only receive what they want you to receive and what you can afford.
We must be diligent in our protection of this awesome resource. Vow to vote out any and all government officials that bend to the pressure of the big communication conglomerates.
That's what I think!
How about you?

Hello World - Post 1

Hi out there in the Blogosphere,
I'm really exited about my new internet marketing class I'm taking at Grossmont College.
It's only the first day and I've already learned a lot. For instance, Don't try and do the home work in class before it's assigned. You'll likely have to go back and re-do it!
